We are proud to announce a significant milestone in our journey — PJS has expanded its outreach to Balasore and Mayurbhanj, bringing our work to a total of 6 districts across Odisha. What began as a small initiative in just four districts has now grown into a stronger movement, touching the lives of thousands of children and families.
This expansion is not just about numbers on a map — it represents hope, resilience, and perseverance in the face of challenges.
A Journey Built on Struggles and Determination
Like many grassroots organizations, our path has never been easy. From the very beginning, we faced financial constraints, limited resources, and countless hurdles in reaching remote villages where children needed us the most.
There were times when:
- Our field teams worked without proper transportation, walking miles to reach isolated communities.
- We had to stretch every rupee to deliver learning materials, nutritional support, and awareness programs.
- Natural disasters disrupted our progress, but we stood firm to support children and families in their most vulnerable moments.
Despite these struggles, one thing kept us going — the unwavering belief that every child deserves safety, dignity, and opportunity.
Why Balasore and Mayurbhanj Matter
Both Balasore and Mayurbhanj are home to vibrant communities but also face challenges such as:
- Limited access to quality education in rural areas.
- High malnutrition rates among children.
- Poor sanitation facilities that affect health and well-being.
- Lack of livelihood opportunities pushing families deeper into poverty.
By expanding here, PJS aims to bring tailored interventions — strengthening education, health, nutrition, WASH, and livelihood programs — that empower both children and families to break the cycle of vulnerability.

With this expansion, PJS now works in 6 districts of Odisha, building partnerships with local schools, government institutions, and community groups. Our mission remains clear:
